ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)

Our Process

Research has found that ASD can sometimes be detected at 18 months or younger. By age 2, a diagnosis by an experienced professional can be considered very reliable.

What age can Autism Spectrum Disorder be diagnosed?

Research has found that ASD can sometimes be detected at 18 months or younger. By age 2, a diagnosis by an experienced professional can be considered very reliable.

However, many children do not receive a final diagnosis until they are much older. This delay means that children with an ASD might not get the help they need. The earlier an ASD is diagnosed, the sooner the services can begin.

How to diagnose Autism Specturm Disorder?

Initially our specialist would perform Autism screeners to start assessment of Autism, if these screeners indicate Autism as a possibility, we would move o the a more specific Assessment called  ADOS-2(Autism Spectrum Observation Schedule 2). The ADOS is a test with different modules to accommodate a range of children. If you think your child might be on the spectrum and need some answers please call us for a consultation.
